Palmetto is a native St. Augustine cultivar selected for better color and finer texture. Palmetto St. Augustine demonstrates superior shade, cold, frost, heat, and drought tolerance. This versatile turfgrass is used across the southern United States from the Carolinas to California under a wide range of climate and soil conditions making it the ideal choice for residential and commercial use.
Palmetto is rapidly becoming accepted as a landscaping standard as it has been used in thousands of lawns since 1994. Please note that like all turfgrass, Palmetto St. Augustine is a living plant, not a miracle grass. When properly maintained, however, Palmetto St. Augustine will deliver years of an aesthetically pleasing and functional lawn.
I have used 4 different varieties of Green Acres Turf Farm sod (419 Bermuda, Celebration Bermuda, Empire Zoysia, and Palmetto St. Augustine) on some of the most prestigious clubs in the south which include: Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island and every time and every pallet it was always OUTSTANDING. We always had deliveries which were on-time and all your drivers were always very professional. We never had to chase down any deliveries ever.
