Centipede (Common) Characteristics

Centipede is a warm season turfgrass with a medium to light green color. It is a low maintenance, slow growing creeping grass. Centipede has low fertility requirements and is well adapted to sandy, acidic soils. Although centipede can withstand mild cold temperatures, erratic winter and spring temperatures along with several hard freezes can lead to slow spring green up or winterkill.

I have used 4 different varieties of Green Acres Turf Farm sod (419 Bermuda, Celebration Bermuda, Empire Zoysia, and Palmetto St. Augustine) on some of the most prestigious clubs in the south which include: Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island and every time and every pallet it was always OUTSTANDING. We always had deliveries which were on-time and all your drivers were always very professional. We never had to chase down any deliveries ever.
It is always great to finish off a project with green, healthy sod which always complements our hard work.
Keep up the great work!!
